Saffron Synapse (the application) is a self-hosted email operations engine operated by Saffron. This policy explains how it handles data accessed through Google APIs.
With your authorization, the application accesses your Gmail data through the gmail.readonly, gmail.modify, and gmail.compose scopes to search, read, organize, and draft mail on your own behalf.
Google user data is used solely to provide the application's features to the user who authorized it: searching and reading mail, applying labels, and creating drafts for your review. The application does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide a feature you requested or as required by law.
The application is self-hosted under the operator's control. It does not build a secondary copy of your mailbox. Operational records are limited to an append-only action log for security and auditing. Message contents are not retained beyond the immediate operation.
Saffron Synapse's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Access uses OAuth 2.0. Secrets are held in a dedicated secrets store, never in source. Access is scoped to the minimum required and can be revoked by you at any time from your Google Account permissions.
